Machine Media DJs, Delilah's and cheap hooch are a perfect way to drown out the sorrow of a Lincoln Park Tuesday night. Erib Lab Rat, Kelsey Snell and Brandon Weatherbee are on the decks and a special Alice Cooper movie on the screen.

Heading to Funky Buddha on Tuesday night is usually your best option. Tonight is no different.  Free drinks for an hour, reduced cover if you RSVP and a DJ set from Menowah make it as special as ever.  Vyle will also be spinning.

Throw down Chinatown. Gutterbutter may be a funny name for a dance party at Red-I but for 2 bones get in gear.  The Tuesday lineup has flipped recently, but look for quality DJs, no matter.

Looptopia is getting the buzz, and there are some nice events in this mainstream event. Sounds from Mucca Pazza, The Ponys, Bobby Conn and the Symphony Orchestra make it worth a look are a good start also some classes, yoga, theater, street art, etc, etc.

We live in a time of rapid information travel and quick trend adoption.  Blame the Net and mobile technology.  Case in point, although the Continental is relatively young and in an underdeveloped location, it's already crawling with scenesters and has-beens. During the week the crowd is a tad bit less image-driven and ready to get swum. Go tonight for Jordan Z, Kampfire Killaz and that photo guy.

Brillantly Mad keeps bring some creative events and this Friday night ain't buck wild, but they'll have meditation, yoga, metal art, tons of art and music.  Wait there's more belly dancing, crafts and snacks. It's at Unity in West Ridge and promises to be an spacetatular night.

Sadly we're still living during "war time", but with parties like this who cares, right?  Well not exactly but here is a chance to get out and do some good ol' fashioned rug cutting with Life During War Time DJs - Bald Eagle, Mother Hubbard, Kampfire Killaz and Love of Diagrams.  At the Hideout Sat.9 pm., these DJs bring all sorts of styles to the decks.  Hideout has cheap beer, so pay the 8 bucks to get yo groove on and get tipsy on canned beer.
