Success in the Chicago nightlife game is a tough road. But you know you've made it when your Tuesday night party is the most talked about club happening in the city. Still the road is continually filled with bumps, detours and sometimes dead ends. Outdanced rocketed to the pinnacle of the Chicago club scene as a weeknight party that featured hype hipster approved acts, cheap drinks and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Outdanced, born from promoter Scott Cramer, just turned two years old back in May, but some unfortunate twists and turns, is causing the popular night at Funky Buddha Lounge to come to an end. Cramer tells us that with Funky Buddha's new owner (Rene Romero) the timing was right to end Outdanced gracefully. The final event this Tuesday features Leslie and the Lys, Willy Joy, BFF and Pier Novikov. As always there's cheap admission with an RSVP, low cost drinks and guaranteed good times. You'd be well advised to arrive early as Outdanced's following is deep and wide, so the city's club set will be out in full force to wish this party a fond farewell. As Outdanced grooves off into the sunset, we have no doubt that promoter extraordinaire Cramer will rise again with another event, at another club, but with the same recipe for another extraordinary party.
