What a weekend it was. For 2 nights in a row we were up with sun. It has certainly left us a bit weary still. Here are the pictures from the Lotus shows at the Miramar in Milwaukee and the Parkwest in Chicago. Both shows sold out and the energy was intense. Miramar review and Parkwest thoughts are up as well. The Hammerstrike tour continues east, then south. Check out Lotus.
A few shots from Monday's Lotus show at U of I. Also read our quick review of the show here. And if you wanted more Lotus - here's a take on their show in NYC where they played Hammerstrike (street date - 10/14) in its entirety.
After not updating for a bit too long darkroom demons is back with a herd of new shots. Sadly most other Chicago nightlife photogs just aren't updating or they're off in San Fran or some other less-bloggable spot.
Now we're big fans of the DD's pix, but we have to comment on the subjects of this shot. Let's start with the fact that Perez Hilton already has this looked cornered, so dude needs to find a new angle. And the gal, well, God she needs to stop taking style advice from T-Mobile commercials. Ah fashion sense, an art often gone astray.
It's been awhile since a night of photos has left us so utterly amazed, but this set from Buzz last Friday is just a plethora of visual jaw-droppers. There's plenty of well-bronzed plastic cuties, underage d-bags with their underage burb girls, dudes-a-gawking, smutty poses, dance floor hijinks and large-in-charge mommas all over this photo bonanza from Pulse Chicago. Something must have been in the air over there and we're not talking cheap colonge.
We got to met a gang of new folks at the Humboldt Park Art Fair and the Orbit Room. What a full day of doing great stuff with great peeps. (in great weather) Thanks to those who bought and enjoyed my work at the Art Fair. If you're coming to the site to check out some more pics - go to this page. (also if you'd like to by prints get in touch) If you're coming to check out the regular goodies on this site - last week's news and such is below and when the week starts rolling again will keep you up-to-date on Chicago culture and the like.
