Who Says Print Is Dead?
The other day we were sauntering around the web like we tend to do and came across this - Michigan Avenue Magazine. (as did TOChicago) An upscale focused rag on the finer things in life like expensive shops on the Miracle Mile, beauty via surgery and jewelry only oil barons can afford, MAM comes out when other publications are cutting back or dead. Now we only saw the online edition, but from TOC's take, the pirnt version seems like another angle of Chicago social. TOC makes two other interesting points - the mag itself weighs close to 3 lbs. (that's almost a biblical amount of glossy ads) and that cover girl Cindy Crawford is not really a Chicagoan like MAM claims. Oh and a subscription to the rag - $75 per year. Looks like claims of prints death has been greatly exaggerated.
