Movie Madness
A mashup of various film styles, the ultra-violent, often cartoon-like Rodriguez joint features an all-star cast and is nothing short of exploitation brilliant. Each minute more ridiculous (and intelligent) then the last, Machete is, in a multitude of ways, a great example of cinema in a post-film world. Interesting the film borrowed a powerful quote from Gloria Anzaldúa, "we didn't cross the border the border crossed us." The political action of the film makes it a movie with a meaningful message.
