Round Two Of Ragebury Photos

The second half of Rothbury was as busy as the first two. After filming the experience of Lotus at the Fest, we agreed to help out Chicago band Van Ghost doing essentially the same during the final two days. Once again this cut into our photo captruing experience. We still got some hot shots, but not the depth we might have caught if we weren't directing our film crew.  Jessica even took a few in this round. Filming was awesome, a real pleasure for us, but not for the still photo scene.  Enjoy Ragebury Round 2 photos.

The Most Music For Your Buck

Wicker Park Fest is growing. The lineup for this Fest was already silly good with the likes of the New Deal, Elvis Perkins, Van Ghost, Future Rock, Junior Boys etc., but for the first time a third stage has been added bringing E6 & Roan, the Hood Internet, Smoking Popes and a gang of others into the Wicker Fest fold. This is right up there with the best fests in the city.

Facial Hair Causes Cheers From Bikers

On Saturday we're walking home after a nice jog down the boulevard.  Along the street bikes were becoming more and more frequent as Tour De Fat in Palmer Square must have been winding down.  As we approached the intersection of California and Logan a large group (maybe a couple dozen) of peddlers cruised past. One of them barked something inaudible at the couple walking just in front of us and then did the same in our direction. The rider behind him immediately shouted, "Beard, he's cool." Before we could even process the comment, a few of the other bikers started to randomly shout "beard, beard man," or words to that affect. And then they were down the street and gone. A fading chorus of "beard" echoing through the boulevard. Nothing like a face rug to cool out some drunk bikers.
