Biography
Brent Kado grew up near Elkhart, Indiana. He attended Ball State University for his undergraduate degree, DePaul University for his Masters and currently Purdue for his PhD. Kado's website Avant/Chicago (Http://avantchicago.com) has been met with wide spread popularity and has been recognized by the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times as one of the city’s top websites. Kado has published two books. The first was a novel based on his travels across America entitled And Yet It Moves published in 2001. In 2007 Blues and the Machine was completed. The work looks at the development of the Blues District in Chicago as well as the death of postmodern thinking. He wrote, directed, and produced Off the Cuff with wife Jessica Hardy.
